Spark Arts is a small, versatile studio space located at 180 Flynn Ave in Burlington, VT.
Founded by the creative/married team of Nathan Hartswick & Natalie Miller (more about them below), Spark Arts offers high-quality, affordable classes and workshops in the performing arts to students of all ages.
Whether it's theater, comedy or music, we have something for you. We also do casting work for film, theater and TV, and host intimate events like storytelling, artist Q&As, mixers & more.

Nathan Hartswick has extensive experience as an educator, performer, writer and director. He grew up in Vermont, attended the Crane School of Music, and spent time in NYC before returning to his home state in 2005.
For over 15 years, Nathan has taught private music lessons and group workshops in theater and comedy to students of all ages. He is also a published children's playwright, and his works are consistently bestsellers for Heuer Publishing and Pioneer Drama (the largest publisher of children’s theater in the US).
As a standup comic, Nathan won the grand prize at the 2011 Higher Ground Comedy Battle, and was a semi-finalist in the Funniest Comic in New England contest in 2012. The founder of VermontComedyClub.com, he produces many standup comedy events throughout New England.

Natalie Miller is a professional actor, singer, voice over artist and teacher who hails from the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Natalie trained in voice, theater and dance in New York City, receiving her degree from the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She has performed extensively in national and regional productions, including shows with Cantiamo Opera Theater (NYC) and American Family Theater (National Tour).
Recent local productions include stints with Green Candle Theater Company (Flower Duet), Lyric Theatre Company (The Full Monty, Hairspray) and Lost Nation (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change!). Natalie has acted on camera and done voiceovers for many regional commericals and films.
As an instructor, director and vocal coach, Natalie has taught students of all ages. She also works as a freelance casting director for many area production companies and performs standup comedy. For more information please visit www.natalievoice.com.
