Level 2 Improv: Play the Game!

So you've been to our Level 1 Improv Drop-In at least 4 times, you feel comfortable with the basics, and you want to PLAY GAMES! In this quick, inexpensive class, you'll focus on learning structures, playing them well, and capturing the nuances of top-notch short form. It's a ton of fun!

There are so many different types to try - wit games, word games, guessing games, scene games, 'mess up the other guy' games - and we'll tackle them all!

This is a great way to familiarize yourself with the most popular games in short-form improv, and to practice the different skills needed to be successful in each of the different types of games. Join us!

About the Instructor

Nathan Hartswick is a native Vermonter with extensive experience as an educator, performer, writer and director.

He is the co-founder of Spark Arts, where he teaches standup and improv comedy to students of all ages. Nathan performs with Vermont's premier improv team, the Spark Improv Troupe.

As a standup comic, Nathan won the "Best VT Standup Comic" Daysie (readers' choice award) from Seven Days in 2012 and 2013. He was a semi-finalist in the Funniest Comic in New England contest in 2012, and the grand prize winner of the 2011 Higher Ground Comedy Battle. He is the founder of, and produces many comedy events throughout New England.
